Account withdrawal and data requests
Use this page if you no longer have the app installed or cannot access the in-app withdrawal flow.
Fastest option
If you still have the app, use the in-app withdrawal flow at Settings > Account > Withdraw account.
Request help without the app
Send a withdrawal or retained-data request to waverdeep@gmail.com with the subject line Pling account withdrawal request.
To help us review the request, include:
- The email address used for your Pling account
- A short statement describing whether you want account withdrawal guidance or help about retained data
- Any additional details needed to identify your account if you used sign-in methods other than email
Verification and processing
We use the minimum verification needed to protect your account. We may ask you to confirm the request from the registered account email or provide limited follow-up information if we cannot confidently match the request to the account.
- This page describes the current account withdrawal flow and support contact path.
- We do not publish a fixed response or completion SLA on this page.
- Support may request follow-up information before taking action on retained data questions.
What the current withdrawal flow does
- It deactivates the user account and prevents future sign-in with that account.
- It marks the account as inactive in the current backend implementation first.
- Account-related data deletion may then be processed asynchronously through separate backend batch jobs.
What may remain after withdrawal
- Journal entries, uploaded photos, saved location data, and generated discovery history may remain in active systems until the queued deletion batch completes.
- Operational logs or recovery copies may remain for a limited period where required for infrastructure, security, or legal reasons.
