Effective date: March 17, 2026
You must be at least 14 years old, or older if required by the law where you live, to use Pling.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity that occurs through your account unless caused by our failure.
Pling is a journaling and reflection service that lets users create short private entries, attach emotion labels, photos, precise location context, reminders, and AI-generated summaries or reflections.
Pling is not a medical service, therapy service, crisis service, emergency service, or diagnostic product.
You retain ownership of your journal text, photos, and other content you submit to Pling.
You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to host, store, process, back up, display, and transmit your content only as needed to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the service for you.
AI features are enabled by default for new accounts, and you can turn them off in Settings at any time. In the current implementation, supported discovery features process recent journal text, emotion labels, and coarse location-tag or place-pattern summaries through the backend using the configured Anthropic model.
AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, biased, or otherwise unsuitable. Do not rely on AI output for medical, mental health, legal, financial, or other professional decisions.
Pling is for journaling, reflection, and general informational use only. It does not provide diagnosis, treatment, counseling, psychotherapy, or crisis intervention.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.
You may stop using the service at any time and may request account withdrawal through the in-app flow or the public page at https://pling-legal.pages.dev/delete-account. The current backend withdrawal flow deactivates the account and blocks future sign-in first, and account-related content deletion may then be completed asynchronously through separate backend deletion processing. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk for us or others, or if required by law.
Pling is provided "as is" and "as available" to the fullest extent permitted by law. We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and availability.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for claims arising out of or related to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months before the claim, or KRW 100,000.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes will be handled in the Seoul Central District Court, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
Questions about these Terms may be sent to waverdeep@gmail.com.
